Summer Days, Summer Nights

Today we had a wonderful day at Lake Tahoe. I was really happy that Stacy, Tracy, Lauren, Lindsey and Alan came along. They always help me out with Maddy and Caedon, so that I can have a little break. All the kids seem to have so much fun. Aunt Tracy built sand castles with Maddy and Maddy was thrilled to knock them down. Martin had quite the day with his friend, Andy. They went on a long bike ride and then spent the afternoon at the ballpark.  When we returned from the Lake, Martin played with Maddy in the front yard, while Caedon and I did a couple laps around the neighborhood on our bikes. Then it was time for bath, books and bed. Martin plays this silly game with Maddy. I caught it on video. Although she is screaming, it is really a squeal of joy; she absolutely loves the game.

Lake Tahoe

Summer in Reno would not be the same without trips to Lake Tahoe. We had a great time and  took some cute pictures with Stacy's camera. The paddle board always adds fun to the day.

Col de Madeleine

Today, in the Tour de France, they rode the Col de Madeleine, a very long hill climb. In honor of the Col de Madeleine, I will feature our little Madeline on the blog today. She is particularly lovable at this stage in her life because of her little square feet and her marshmellow belly. She also likes to ride the skateboard. Unfortunately, Yater finds the skateboard interesting as well.

Happy Birthday Stacy and Tracy!

Have you noticed a trend to this blog? It is just one party after another! Maddy is officially out of party dresses.  Caedon did some of the photography this time..he is pretty good, but you will notice his pictures are at a bit of an angle. We all had a wonderful time at the party.  It had to be extra special since we will have to wait until August for the next run of birthdays.

Fourth of July Weekend 2010

We celebrated my Dad's Birthday up at  Lake Tahoe with my family on July 3rd. Boy is it hard to get 6 children under the age of 8 to smile all at the same time (Maddy did not make it for the photo). On the Fourth we had a backyard party with the waterslide bounce house. Maddy with her curls made it into the pictures on the Fourth. At first she was a little timid with the bounce house, but later she had a blast playing in the water.

Friends and Family

We have had internet and phone issues this last week, so I have not posted anything on the blog. It has also been a crazy week with friends visiting, celebrating CJ's birthday with friends and hanging out with cousins.
