Snow Day

After the sleet storm yesterday, we were happy that during the night the temperture dropped low enough to bless us with snow. We all enjoyed the sunshine and fresh snow. Yater was excited to go for a walk. Maddy tried out her fancy pink ski suit given to us by our friends who live in Park City.

YaYa and MyMy

There have been several requests to update the blog. I am on vacation this week; there is no excuse for neglecting the blog...

Madeline Grace calls our dog "YeaYea" for lack of better pronunciation skills. I kind of like it. If you ask Maddy, "What is your name?" She will either say, "Don know" or "MyMy". So here are some pictures of YaYa and MyMy hanging out. Apparently, today she was pretending to go shopping with her twins and YaYa. Boy it is tuff handling a double stroller and a shopping cart with YaYa nipping at the wheels!

I am also including  pictures of our Christmas Tree by special request from Ali.

Decorating Dell's Tree

This week we went over to Dell's house for dinner and tree decorating.  Maddy was happy to hang out with Alan. Caedon started ski season last week. Martin has some videos from his iphone that I will post soon. I took a video of Maddy pretending to read which is funny. I had not quite finished dressing her.

November Snow

All last week the weather men were sending out winter storm warnings, predicting 8-12 inches on the valley floor. I think we got 3 if we were lucky. Caedon, Maddy and Yater did not care. THey were just excited to play in the snow. Maddy got a little upset when she bent down to pick it up and it was cold. Her new words are "snow" which sounds very similar to "no" and "ice".

Maddy Dances

Martin requested I make a correction on my blog. I implied that he was in SF for the whole weekend. He was only there for Saturday. He spent Sunday with his family. We went to get Caedon new clothes because he has already outgrown what we bought him at the start of the school year. Here is a video of Maddy rocking out to the music in one of the shops I went into to look for tights for me.

Weekend

Martin went down to SF for a cross race this weekend, so it was just me and the kids today. We all helped clean up Caedon's room. Afterwards, Maddy took a break to read one of her favorite books by Eric Carle. Later they went to the store with me. You would not believe how much fun they have riding in the cart! Usually I make Maddy ride in the front, but today after we checked out, I let her ride in the back. Wow, what a treat! I wish I could be entertained so easily.

The Night Before Halloween

Each year a father of a friend of ours has a big Halloween Party at his house. He always has a ton of fun Halloween decorations and two bounce houses. Costumes are required even for the adults. I always forget to take pictures before we go, but this year I remembered. Caedon was going to be Iron Man, but at the last minute he changed his mind and went as Buster Posey the catcher for the Giants. Maddy was a butterfly.  I will have the thank my sister for handing down the beautiful tutu. Martin wore his Elvis costume and I put together an angel costume.
