Caedon Joseph's Day Off

CJ skipped school last Friday. It was an early release day and for a half day kindergartener that means his half day was reduced by half.  So he was not quite as bad as Ferris Bueller. Here are some pictures of what he did with his day off. NO he did not get to ride in a Ferrari, but the Weinermobile was a close second.

Happy Spring

We celebrated the first weekend of Spring with a family bike ride.  Tim and Kaitlyn joined us.  Martin just bought me a new bike (my old one was ruined last June when our roof rack boke). It is a beautiful TREK crossbike and I was excited to have the chance to ride it. I should have taken a picture of it, but I enjoy taking pictures of Caedon more. Maddy rode in the trailer behind Martin. At first she did not like it, but after after awhile she sat back to enjoy the ride. Caedon rode his own bike the whole way.  Later, two of his friends came over and he went on another bike ride. It is hard to believe that it has been one whole year since we took the training wheels off. Hooray for Spring!
Caedon's homework for tonight was to draw a picture of his favorite animal. He drew a giraffe without any help (except with the spelling of giraffe). I was impressed, so I took a picutre.

The Luck of the Irish

Yesterday, Caedon said, "I wish it would rain!"  Consumed by the joy of the beautiful sunny day, I did not understand his request. I asked him, "Why do you want it to rain?"  He said "So that I can follow the rainbow and get a pot of gold....Did you know that Leprechauns are richer than fairies, but they are really grumpy?"

On the Move

Well both Caedon and Madeline are changing and growing every day before my eyes. I wish I had time to document every change, but then I would be experiencing my life from behind a camera. Maddy has added "ball" and "dog" to her vocabulary but that is about it besides mama, dada and nana. As Maddy is learning to say words, Caedon is learning to read and write them.  Of course, Caedon would much rather ski than learn new vocabulary and Maddy would rather dance.  She just loves to dance and spin around.  Here are some pictures of Maddy dancing and one picture to capture Maddy and CJ sitting still!
