Specail Visit

Ali and Tripp came for a special visit.  As always we found some fun things to do together. We went to an Aces game Tuesday night, the lake on Wednesday and Lakeridge pool on Saturday. Lakeridge was a treat and Caedon loved the high dive. Maddy barrowed some cute floaties.

August Nights

I think it has been about three years in a row that Caedon has begged to go see the cars for Hot August Nights, but we never go. I must admit it was not on my priority list. This year I was on vacation and could not turn Caedon down. I took Caedon and Maddy. Caedon was so fun to watch as he yelled in excitement at each car we passed. He could not get enough. Maddy liked the purple cars. I must admit there were some pretty cool cars and I had fun despite my original attitude.

At the end of the week we traveled to Medicine Lake near Mount Shasta. Friends of ours have a cabin up there and invited a big group of friends. We brought our camper and the paddle boards. The mountain lake was prestine and provided hours of entertainment. Just behind and separate from the lake was a small pond full of frogs. The kids had so much fun with the catch and release of frogs. We also had some success with fishing in the lake. I personally enjoyed the morning paddle boarding sessions.

We arrived home just in time to enjoy Lindsey's 18th Birthday. Lucky girl also had her friend Imi from England visiting and her Aunt Carol.

Bikes and Birthdays

Caedon and Maddy participated in the Tour de Nez this year.  Caedon raced in the 10-12 year old group and won!  Maddy held her own in the pelaton of 3-6 year olds. They were both excited about their metals. The following week my brother's baby was born. Mathew James joined the family. Just 2 days old, he joined the chaos of Martin's birthday.  He actually slept through most of it.
