The Night Before Halloween

Each year a father of a friend of ours has a big Halloween Party at his house. He always has a ton of fun Halloween decorations and two bounce houses. Costumes are required even for the adults. I always forget to take pictures before we go, but this year I remembered. Caedon was going to be Iron Man, but at the last minute he changed his mind and went as Buster Posey the catcher for the Giants. Maddy was a butterfly.  I will have the thank my sister for handing down the beautiful tutu. Martin wore his Elvis costume and I put together an angel costume.

Carving Pumpkins

Well, we made an effort to get the pumpkins carved. Maddy took the marker and marked all over the pumpkins. At least it kept her away from the knife. In the end we had to stop early, so we will have to try again on Friday (Nevada Day)! Yaa no work, no school!

Crazy October

So you may have notice that the blog is a little sparse lately. Well, here is a quick update on what has been happening. I ran my first half marathon with a fun group of women in the San Francisco Nike Women's Marathon. I ran it in 2 hours and 12 minutes and gladly accepted my Tiffany's necklace from a cute man in a tuxedo as well as a fleece from my friend Sarah. Martin rode in the Gran Fondo, a 100 mile bike marathon, the weekend before. I have tried to make up time with my children, since I missed them while I was away. We had a great time at the pumpkin patch this weekend. We also celebrated Grandma's Birthday with a Pizza Party. Jenna and Maddy wore coordinating rain jackets. The yellow one was my sister's and the blue one was mine, but somehow the sizes got reversed, but Maddy was protected from the torrent of rain from head to toe! Tim, Amy and Finley also celebrated birthdays this month.

Italy

Well I just returned from Italy. There is no way I am going to put all 400+ pictures we took on the blog, but if I have time I will share more over the next few weeks. We had a wonderful time and saw everything we intended to see plus more. You would think I consumed enough bruschetta, tiramisu and gelato to last a lifetime, but it was all so delicious! Here are some highlights from the trip.
