Cool Bed

I was supposed to post some ski pictures from this weekend, but I will have to do that another night. Tonight I was doing some "research" for a big-girl-bed for Maddy. We have been slow to take her out of her crib, but she has been asking for a real bed. Anyways, I found this great bed...for a boy! It is soo great that I have to share it...

What Happened to February??

These days I am finding it more difficult to keep up with my life. Work has been busier with more business meetings, plus I have been procrastinating on a research project. Now work is putting pressure on me about the project, so the stress level is climbing. Anyways you don't log onto the blog to hear about my stress- you come to enjoy the good things,  the lives of the Legarza children. Oh to be a child again!

Speaking of which...our friend Andy turned 40 at the beginning of February. He and his wife invited us up to share a night with them at this beautiful lake house that they rented. The inside had detailed wood carving.. The pictures are not great of the people, but I included them so that you could see the details of the house in the background. The huge bay window in the family room provided an stunningly unobstructed view of the lake. It is too bad we had to rush off the next morning for a big ski day. It was Madeline's first time on the slopes this year and she had a blast!

Caedon has been much more dedicated than the fair-weather females of the family. He has skied every weekend, except for last weekend when we were all ill. He raced again this weekend amid the chaos of President's Day Weekend crowds. He has skied so well that he moved up another level! Go Caedon.

Maddy was still semi-recovering from our February nasty illness, so I did not take her up skiing this weekend. Instead, she played dress- up- for- school on Saturday.

Maddy pretending to go to school, notice the number of backpacks and the heals.
Little does she know she will not be allowed to wear heals.

On Sunday we went to an open house for a new dance school. As part of our registration she received tights, a leotard, a pretty tutu and new soft leather ballet slippers. She was so excited she had to try on the new uniform and give a dance performance as soon as we returned home.

Basketball

Caedon made a basket at his basketball game on Monday night. His team won; he has some really talented players on his team. I took this on my iphone so it is a little blurry.
